Meet Benson. He is a beautiful curly coated chocolate merle with hazel eyes. This guy is the perfect mini-very small medium sized, weighs around the 30lb mark. He was born here at Charming Doods to Emy & Mowgli’s Flower Litter on May 25th, 2025, formally Ellwood for those whom followed his story.

 

We held him back for our program as a potential future stud and our Daughter’s Best Friend. However, having 3 boys in the same household has proven to be too difficult when needing to keep them separated for breedings. Due to his young age, he has never sired a litter and will go to a PET HOME ONLY with our usual Spay & Neuter Contract (you have until 18 months of age to have this completed) and I will extend his Health Guarantee for his new family. 

 

He is in his prime, already very curious & ready for females, so I will not recommend him going to a home with intact females to avoid accidental breedings. He does well with other dogs and would love a playmate! He is also very much in love with our Daughter so a child/teen to take her place would be ideal for him but not required. Just know he loves kids! 

 

He will be groomed and trimmed before going home, have all vet records and UTD on vaccinations, has been kept on Heartgard & Nexgard for heartworm/flea/tick prevention, will go with a Health Guarantee, and an adult doggy kit of some of his favorite things! He is CRATE trained, does very well with grooming, will need a little more direction with leash training, and currently only has free rein of the house while using a belly band or being strictly supervised. Keep in mind this is because we are a breeder home so intact boys with other males compete and with females in heat they will mark. He should do well in a pet home where he is away from this situation. But as he has been with us since birth- I ask for patience as he learns your expectations and boundaries of his new home!
